Hannah Kim

food, fashion, travel, and modern lifestyle through a refined lens of culture, craftsmanship, hospitality, and human connection

Hannah Kim is a Toronto-born creative voice whose work explores the intersections of food, fashion, travel and modern lifestyle through the lens of culture, hospitality and human connection. Her perspective is shaped by growing up in one of the world’s most diverse cities, where food and style became early expressions of identity and community.

Before fully embracing her creative pursuits, Hannah worked as an educator with the Toronto District School Board before transitioning into entrepreneurship as the co-founder of ai Toronto Seoul, a Toronto-based sustainable fashion brand recognized for its thoughtfully designed vegan handbags and accessories from Seoul, South Korea. The brand, founded alongside her family, earned recognition across leading fashion and lifestyle publications for its refined approach to vegan handbags, craftsmanship and cross-cultural design.

Hannah’s background in fashion continues to influence her writing today, bringing a refined eye to stories surrounding style, design, luxury, dining and contemporary culture. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for elevated experiences while remaining grounded in authenticity, emotion and the people behind them.

Over the years, her curiosity has taken her across Canada and around the world, where she has dined at some of the most visionary restaurants internationally — from Alchemist, where food meets immersive art, to Asador Etxebarri, where fire and simplicity are elevated to perfection. She has also drawn inspiration from more intimate cultural traditions, including time spent with the Haenyeo, often referred to as the “mermaids” of Busan, whose generations-old practice of free-diving for seafood reflects resilience, heritage and a profound connection to nature.

These experiences have shaped Hannah’s understanding that exceptional dining, fashion and lifestyle are never only about aesthetics or consumption but about intention, craftsmanship, culture and the relationships that bring them to life.
